No one knows the real bottom as no one seems to know the "real" top. News of "oversupply" and "pick up of demand" comes and goes. Stock will go up in face of bad news as well. The issue is whether buying WDC around current price represent a worthwhile speculation and on what grounds.

I wish I know the real earning picture ahead, which I do not, but I speculate not all funds will be dumping shares in a company they thought so well of not so long ago. Especially the funds holding major positioins of WDC have excellent managers. Fidelity seems to have a habit of dumping shares, but others (brandywine, legg mason) may hold on.

Best whishes for the New Year!
