As I told you earlier Jay, the United States has plenty of prisons for anyone inclined to engage in post-election violence. Anyone who's concerned enough to commit violence should have been committed enough to vote.

Unlike Switzerland and many other nations, voting is not mandatory in the US which is what leaves our elections open to this sort of wild-card outcome. In this election many of the people who took the time to vote for Barack Obama did not vote for a Presidential candidate, and many people who voted for Trump have a history of rarely or never voting.

Many Republicans assumed Trump would lose badly and this experience would teach Republican voters not to vote for a buffoon simply because the Republican Party wants to eliminate Medicare and Social Security benefits.

That game of chicken between the Republican Party and their Republican voters hasn't turned-out well for anyone.
