Boy what a surprise I got yesterday. I did not know that Democrat Justin Parish had beaten Kathy Munoz in Juneau (that is the Republican district I ran in once) and the Democrats had taken control of the house in the legislature. I was so sure that both of those things were impossible that I didn't even bother to look and then a friend was visiting yesterday and mentioned it to me in casual conversation and I was incredulous. We did a high five-lol. This, I think, is the first time the Democrats have controlled the house in the legislature in Alaska in almost 40 years?
