I voted for Bernie at our dem caucus. The Bernie, Warren wing is about to take over. The kids will demand it. Bernie is supporting Kieth Ellison. But we have no power to mitigate anything. So all hell is about to break out. Not only will the social safety net be shredded, things like rules and regulations to protect us from contaminated water and air will be shredded. Food safety will be shredded, and on and on. The Republicans believe that a society can run with virtually no interference from the people i.e. government. They believe that pure capitalism can actually regulate and run a country which is pure nonsense. But the main thing that the Trump supporters do not understand is that they are going to be taken to the cleaners by the rich people. Interest rates are already rising. That will continue as the dollar is destroyed. Before Trump was elected the rich people were pretty much running the country. The rich people have just gotten a whole lot stronger and I challenge anybody to show me a time in history when the aristocracy took care of the poor, or even the middle class.
