I don't think Buffett has ever been that concerned about cycles.

You've read about his Equity Bond theory. Buffett will buy when the share price is at a good discount to the company's Pretax Earnings/Long Term Corporate Bond Rate.

And for the type of company he targets that usually occurs when the overall market is down and all share prices are down ...
