i understand.

you diss voters/supporters of other parties, while koan disses the candidates
themselves for offering an alternative on the ballot. write-in votes do not count
in my state unless they are for an "approved" write-in candidate who has met
all the prerequisites to be on the ballot and has qualified to be an "approved"
write-in candidate. alternative parties do that qualification/application process
and provide choices. there were eight presidential candidates on my ballot in NM.
i LIKE that.

i like the fact that voters can have choices. i like that people can vote for jill stein
or "rocky" roque de la fuente, have their vote count, and be able to show in election
returns that there are some people who agree with them. "none of the above" might
be just as satisfying but that's not an option yet.

so that's where we disagree. where we do agree is that anyone who voted
for jill stein and complains that trump won instead of clinton is hypocritical at the least.
but... i would bet you a cyber beer that most stein voters would be just as unhappy
if hillary had won. stein didn't steal any clinton voters.

i voted for hillary as did the majority of new mexicans and we brought in our
electoral votes for the democrat party. we had jill stein voters and many more
gary johnson voters (since he was semi popular as governor here) but we didn't
whine about them... we respected them and we BEAT them at the polls.

disclaimer: i'm not as emotionally invested in the political make-up of the govt.
as you are. i see changes coming to the world which are beyond the ability of
the US govt. to effectively address, regardless of who is at the helm. the sooner
this is recognized by the populace, the better.

there's a saying that an addict has to hit bottom before recovery is possible.
perhaps "the donald" will take us to the bottom quicker? i don't know. i'm thinking
it's just a "saying" and not necessarily correct. <g> i hope i'm wrong.
