Announced now that Buffett (or maybe his surrogates) have bought airline stocks.

That is a surprise given Buffett's comments about buying/owning airline stocks.

Also, the stocks don't seem that cheap to me now: I'm looking at Yahoo forward earnings p/e estimates of between 9.9 -13.1 for the several airline stocks I'm holding in a basket of them - including UAL/AAL mentioned as Buffett buys here:
