Here is something to amuse yourself with over the weekend. Let us assume that they have 10% of the 24 tcf the USGS says the basin contains which would be 2.4 tcf. So at a dollar an mcf(thousand cu ft) that is 2.4 thousand million (thousand million = a billion) dollars worth of gas, and say they merge the two companies together so there are 12 million shares out and do a 50-50 deal with a major(thereby having no expenses until the earn-in is complete and avoiding further dilution). That leaves 2.4 thousand million divided by 12 million which equals 200 dollars a share x a .50 interest or 100 dollars a share....all riding on a single drill result....should be an entertaining couple of months. A decent lottery ticket at about 50 cents US a ticket...a potential 200 times return...or you could lose your 50 cents! Just having some fun here but the returns could be substantial.
