Don - My question: Do the people really have the money? If so, where is it? Is it under their matresses, or is it in a banking system that is essentially insolvent? The problem also extends to the insurance companies and the pension funds. With the Japanese economy now contracting, isn't there a substantial risk that an increasing number of Japanese financial institutions are going to be unable to meet their current obligations?
