Thanks for your comments. I already have an HP inkjet, and I have fax capability on my modem. We wanted something with a copier, which the Brother has, as well as a laser, as I'm not overly satisfied with the quality of the b&w printing on my HP inkjet. Maybe it's overkill to get a three-in-one machine, but I like the idea of having a laser printer along with fax, copy and scan capabilties.
