I spoke to a conservative yesterday and she said she just feels like going out and giving everyone that looks like a minority a big hug (because of all the scary stuff being spread by leftists). This attitude is becoming a trend and I see people being changed by it. There is now a movement by conservatives who are offering to ride with any frightened minority in New York promising their safety.

>>>What exactly do you get?<<<

I get that you have a tendency to post hysterical angry posts in reaction to fringe right wing extremist ideas. I don't consider that an effective way to get productive, thoughtful, and considerate conversation going.

>>>What was wrong with my post specifically? What did I get wrong in it specifically? What could you object to in that post specifically?<<<

First, I didn't say anything in your post was wrong. You speculated on how awful the world could be in your worst nightmares. For what it is worth, I doubt things will get that bad but I don't know the future. Like I have pointed out before, over stating and extreme representations results in eye rolling (and comments) at your expense.

>>>Why don't you repost what I posted and then tell me what I got wrong? Correct me like a teacher would a bad paper.<<<

Bad is a subjective word. However you have stated something to the effect that your goal is considerate communication. In that respect I thought you had missed your mark.

>>>Your comment below is another generality that could mean anything. How would I know what it means?>>>

It means what it says, I recommended that this is an opportune time for liberals to re-evaluate their approach. I reminded you of a time when liberal communication was attractive because of its gentle (peace, love, and hope) approach. "Was just trying to reveal an alternative tack," and hoped you would give that some consideration.

So here is how I would conclude you had missed your mark, as defined above...

>>>The are talking about registration. What Hitler did with the Jews.<<<

Invoking Hitler, you should know better. My kids did that when I declared, adults have final say over the rules. We all laugh about it now.

>>>Internment camps. What we did to the Japanese.<<<

We are vigilant regarding past mistakes. Yesterday you suggested we are going to return to slavery, now this. Sure radical repubs will say a lot of things to shake you up, they are playing you.

>>>And drag nets through Latino communities! <<< Implying law abiding Latinos should be fearful...that we should all be fearful, that conservatives should feel shame is misguided.

>>>How much civil rights abuse is that?<<< Since none of these things are manifest, it is none.

>>>The Republicans feel emboldened by Trump to say those things. <<< Some radicals do but I don't think your comment represents all Republicans so the comment is counter-productive.
