" You must start with some way that culls stocks from your consideration before you go into all these plots/calculations"
Indeed !!
I've tried to bring to the attention of this board in the past, the Value of using the ADVFN web site, where you register for FREE, you have an ENORMOUS and FREE Stock Screening facility where you can make up dozens of personal screens.
For example, here is a screen shot of a segment of the US Stock Market where I've chosen the TWO Parameters of the "Graham No.", namely "EPS" and Book Value per share, "B-ValPS". I've also included a Column for the share's Closing Price, viz. "Close" ....

Now all that one has to do is to Copy and Paste this layout, of WHATEVER SIZE you want, into EXCEL, and you have ...

You now put the "Graham No." formula, SQRT(22.5 x EPS x BVPS) in the "Graham No." column and EXCEL does the rest.
You then put the "IF" function into the column "Price<Graham No. ?", and if the Price is less than the Graham No. it gives you a "Yes". So once again, EXCEL does all the hard work.
You then keep the above EXCEL spreadsheet as your TEMPLATE and every so often you copy and past a large number of companies into it and get your answer.
You can do much the same with many, many other share and company parameters that you are interested in.
