Rebellion of the serfs is a fine idea, but as you suggest, Donald Trump will discover just as Barack Obama did, that he's merely the President of the United States.

He has to get past Mitch McConnell and he has no tools to do so. I think Obama should have appealed to the public directly more often to get legislation passed, and I'm sure Trump will try that.

But with McConnell in place, any infrastructure bill will come at the expense of sharp cuts in benefits for the elderly like Medicare and Social Security. Is Trump willing to break his promises regarding these programs.

If Trump is willing to break his promises to the Serfs and has no intention of doing anything other than lock the serfs up with more shackles - then the Serfs are going to be demoralized and wailing.

If Trump won't break his promises to seniors and all Americans, then I can't imagine what he can do short of Mitch McConnell's sudden death - and there's some other twisted serf-haters willing to take his place.

Term-Limits to get rid of toads like McConnell? Mitch just laughed at that and smiled like the Raja he is.

As Obama has said, the constraints of the Presidential Office is quite different to making idle promises during campaign speeches.
