Have you ever created a Google shared 'cloud' spreadsheet integrating the ADFN database? I have one I modified which uses the Yahoo finance data and that was a bit difficult but now works.

This is the link set up for sharing but no editing I have found a way to lock editing to the spreadsheet but still allow share users to input their own ticker.

Here is a very nice Google Spreadsheet that is used for REITs over at the Investor Village site. I post on their REIT forum and one of the SI income investors 'Grumpy' created this Google spreadsheet.

From Grumpy "...The new version pretty much follows the symbols in Brad Thomas' book "The Intelligent REIT Investor" - which is a really informative book and which every REIT investor ought to own..."

It would be nice to create something similar for posting value stock candidate. I am not exactly sure how it would work, either just to use as a quick screen tool and/or to log in prospective picks for tracking purposes. If we went to that option, stale picks would have to be culled from time to time so that could pose a problem.

I use the SI Advanced Search tool to find my previous picks and then will link to that post w/ updates on, (1) new buys, (2) sells, (3) management/company news that impacts value, (4) close out position and/or updated GN and/or other new/updated fair value estimates and/or price targets.

Many times we get suggestions w/ some value metrics (sometime not even that) but there is no follow thru on the company and/or if the value proposition has changed significantly. I try to at least post my value investment thesis, Buys/Sells and provide a periodic timeline/update (as long as 24 months) on the company prospects and hopefully show my exit (gains and/or losses).

It's good to know if the value proposition has changed significantly and is no longer viable (in the opinion of the investor) and they are out of that position.

My one big error is I tend to stay in the investment too long waiting for the turnaround and/or the value to get recognized. We all make error and I am learning (over 35 years investing) how to cut my losses more quickly and move on to another Buy candidate.
