I looked into it (the 3 in one fax/scan/laser) but as long as Brother and H-P did not support Mac I dropped the idea.

My laser is old, my fax is okay but could be sold, the scanner would be used only on rare occasions....the entire concept was to get an all-purpose machine to replace 2 in order to conserve space in an overcrowded office. Besides, for what a laser costs I felt why not get a multi-use machine.

As I say, the user of the H-P version is happy with it, but my only interest in it was because I had to replace my old printer. Insofar as H-P does not support Mac I will end up with a different vendor anyway.
