We have to get the pond permitted by the county ag dept, which means making a 3-D cross-sectional map of the pond, which means measuring water depth every 10 feet or so.
Willits is working on a marijuana (cannabis, the PC name) plan, largely cuz foreign investors want to put in a 1 acre grow room at an old industrial site, eventually expanding to 5 acres. One of my kids has been meeting privately with the city manager and planner, basically designing the city plan for them. He thinks they will be requiring the business, which might be initially limited to 10,000 sq feet, to put in a 60 KW solar system at the sewage treatment plant, in addition to monetary considerations. I think he suggested 5% of the value, based on what Colo. is doing. IIRC, the investors offered about 1% of their initial income.
He's the reason WR Ag even exists. Somehow has met some of the right people, and, just between you and me, I fear he may defy family tradition and make a 7 figure income next year.
