Anyone who knows anything about health care payments knows that you NEVER make the mistake you just made, which is to measure overhead as a percentage of disbursements. If the reason isn't apparent to you you do not need to be discussing this subject because you don't understand the subject matter.

As to cost of health care it is more expensive because of the subsidization of Medicare and Medicaid and Champus which do not pay suffient amounts for the services provided under them. And, with the best, most innovative health care in the world you have to expect it to be more expensive. We are, after all, a very wealthy country.

If private corporations aren't violating the law you have, and should have, ZERO say in what they are doing. That's stupid.

We have the biggest government I guess in the history of the world. If it can't oversee banks adequately it stands to reason we are approaching it incorrectly.
