Keynes was considered an Einstein of his day. He hung around with Bertrand Russell, Albert Einstein, Alfred North Whitehead and George Bernard Shaw. FDR went to him, because most people felt he was the smartest economist on the planet at the time. And the intelligentsia of the day agreed. <<Keynes was not a total idiot but he was no Milton Friedman.
