Most monitors will connect to any brand computer and do not have to match brands. The usual connections are either VGA, DVI, or HDMI, or multiple of these. If your monitor is more than a few years old it is probably VGA. The main thing you need to determine is what connection options the new computer will offer. This information will usually be in the computer specs.
