Sure, great music is great music. We liked all of it. There were a lot of classical musicians that were highly regarded in the hippie movement, Bach. One of the favorites was Sandy Bull who had an album called inventions. He played like five instruments himself and then he simply integrated them.

But he was a smackhead and died young. The blues had a huge influence on the music of the 60s. The music of the 60s ranged all away from the blues to English psychedelic music. The KInks and Yardbirds. The hippies were very eclectic. These were by large really smart kids, Berkeley kids, so they knew to take from the entire world of music,and did. In fact that was sort of a specialty blending the different cultures together where you can do it. Cat Stevens and Pink floyd were huge. Grateful Dead.Moody Blues were classically trained.The Who.

For example, Flat and Scruggs did music with Bob Dylan. Johnny Cash did music with a lot of them. The traveling Wulbury's. The Highwaymen.

Lots of Bach.John Cole train, Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk were big influences and everyone really. In fact the music of the 60s went all the way back to Muddy Waters and that group. Southside Chicago was huge.

Smoking pot and listening to music is a peak experience-lol.
