Jews who were close to top Nazi leaders were protected from harassment and death camps. But as we saw in the Reich, and currently in Russia, favored Jews can suddenly fall from grace and end up in prison or dead. More importantly the fact that a small hand full of Jews are treated well does not mean the rest of the Jewish population was not exterminated or abused. Mikhail Khodorkovsky is merely one of the more prominent Jews who have fallen from exalted position in the anti-Semitic Putin regime. Putin had his Jewish Deputy Prime Minister Boris Nemtsov assassinated. In spite of this record, a shocking number of Jewish people are proton-fascists and Putin fan-boys who point to Putin's special special Jews as an excuse to believe Putin's intentions were benign, just as Jews in America point to Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. For God's sake there were even Jewish SS officers! I'm only 4% Jewish and anti-Semitic leaders like Putin and Trump truly concern me.
