Hi Eslos good to hear you are having a good year! one of the most valuable lessons learned is putting big money into the best stories at the right time and then staying in them until forced out . . year in and out the best stories produce over 70% of the portfolio gains . . I'm not getting kicked off these waves if the stock doesn't rocket up quickly after a purchases . . the biggest gains occur late in the move . . during a four to eight month period . . I want to be on board when this occurs . . a big idea, big story stock like #1 can produce a portfolio gain of over 100% in less than a year . . double the portfolio during a year when the major indices are up 5% to 10% is quite doable when big money is put to work in them at the right time . . looking back over the past years . . there were always a few big stories that paid off in a big way . . I can wait for months for such opportunities . . . I can hold onto them for months . . many folks can't wait more than a month to buy or sell . . many can't wait more than a few weeks before the itch to buy takes control . . there's also a sense of calmness when focusing only on the best stories. . far different than the emotional stress incurred by constantly making buying and selling decisions in most stocks. my thoughts for what they are worth
