A vote audit is what would reveal abuses. A recount will simply reveal the same count with the exception of new votes they found that magically hadn't been counted. An audit of just these "newly discovered votes" will reveal fraud. That is and has been the Dem model. It happened in Washington State for Governor a few years back and of course the comedian Al Franken for US Senate. Those are the votes that need auditing. In California they award illegals with driver's licenses which automatically registers them to vote. An audit of that particular fraud device would be alarming.

I believe the threat of illegal voting could be significantly diminished by simple voter ID at the poles and backed up by jail time and "never enter status" by those caught voting illegally.
