Coincidentally last night I watched the first episode of the new season of The Affair. It is so somber and brooding that I found myself fast forwarding through the gloominess to get to the next scene until eventually I fell asleep and missed the last half hour, waking just in time to see Noah let someone stab him in the back, literally. It was a mercy killing as far as I'm concerned. Gosh, there is so much sadness and sad music surrounding characters who are staring off into space pondering their own miserable existential crisis that it numbs me. The Ordeal or The Losers made me laugh! Spot on.
