Carol, I have always thought Canada was a much nicer, less crowded and more civilized place than America, even factoring Margaret Trudeau into the equation. She always fascinated me, although I hope she finally learned how to keep her knees together!!!!! In fact, my favorite vacation ever was in British Columbia--Victoria and Vancouver were so beautiful.
I would assumed that a sanding truck is the one that spreads salt all over the roadways, so that the car underbellies rust out?
Looking back on it all, I wish I had had children when I was around twenty, but really I was in college then, and not ready for major responsibilities like that. Having a child at thirty-five was just the time it happened to be when I was married and wanted to have a child with a man. Unfortunately, no more came, and she is an only child, something I am even sadder about than having her so late. But this is a case where better late than never definitely applies.
