Semi-equips are certainly not my specialty.

Looking at KLIC in comparison to the rest of the sector though, KLIC is consistent in that when the rest start gaining, KLIC achieves higher gains, percentage-wise. Likewise, it loses harder as well.

This is a 100-day look at the sector, where KLIC "wins" and "loses" at sharper rates than the others. Of course, this really only proves that KLIC is more volatile. Still, if I thought the sector were coming back tomorrow, I'd put money on KLIC. AMAT is not going to get all of the business. Scraps fall and smaller companies tend to benefit in larger proportion&#151rather like feeding Dachshunds instead of Boxers. Is that too stupid of an analogy?

It's a pretty simplistic view. I only know a little about semis and I don't think the sector is dead. KLIC will at least give you some bang for the buck (as opposed to poor WJ-sort of like the NY Jets).
