No I said it will get you all the way there. It is a massive tax increase for the rich, but they are not paying their fair share now. Raise the cap and Social Security would be good for 75 years. That is it. Even if it was only raise it a couple hundred thousand it'll probably be good for 50 many decades. And that means for a long time years the majority of old people in this country can only survive.

The rich can afford to pay that and should. The rich pay less taxes than you and I do right now. Because they have the money to hire lobbyists to keep their taxes low.

As far as Medicare goes, it needs some fixing, but it can be fixed. I posted to someone recently imagine how far the six or 7 trillion that Bush wasted on two stupid wars and massive tax cuts for the rich could've gone toward fixing Medicare.

The first order of business of a society is to protect the people in the society. How come you can't understand that?

Why do you never speak to that?

That is a massive tax increase that will get you part of a he way there.

You say "just raise the cap" like it is not a big deal. But ev n if you did that you are still left with a massive problem of Medicare. You clearly have no perspective on just how massive these failures are.
