I believe the British Columbia program is as good as there is in the Country. It is free to pensioners who also have their prescriptions subsidized.

health care benefits are free to all in all provinces
except B.C.

my husband and i are both retired, live in a remote
area and pay $135/month family rate for our benefits.
that said, i would not trade it for any other system.
