AHale, <Any opinion on whether Intel will have a negative earnings pre-announcement??> IMHO, Intel's earnings pre-announcement came and went. It was at the October's post earnings conference call. A complacent Intel would have used "typical" 4Q strength to guide the street to numbers above $1.00 /share. If so, you would have seen Intel pre-announce. But, I think Intel had a sense that something was up and gave lower guidance. Having said that, Intel is not perfect and eventhough they guided analysts in the downward direction, they may have not known to what degree. SK
