Heartland hicks, bayou dwellers and dirt farmers are lazy and rather stay in their festering hole than move to urban areas where the jobs are. Plus red state education is so shitty that none of them end up with any qualifications for the jobs available. The repugnicans would rather have their electorate uneducated, so they don't know better to otherwise vote Blue.
