Today with the Internet and Google and all the information of mankind is at our fingertips, wisdom will become pervasive around the planet.

And that is our only hope really. We have to get smart enough to control the technology that we inadvertently invented.

Intellectually, we are lagging. Our political and social systems and voters are lagging in the knowledge it takes to control what we have wrought. Electing Trump, the village idiot says it all.

The best example of our not seeing danger, besides Trump :)>.;I can think of, has to do with nuclear weapons. Statisticians tell us that if we continue to have nuclear weapons, we will use them, sooner rather than later. If we were smart enough, we would know that we have to take that seriously and get rid of them or die.

But like with global warming, we apparently are not smart enough. We are still lagging with regard to recognizing the reality of global warming, and we don't have the concept of getting rid of nuclear weapons or we die in our head at all.

But aside from all of that, the big challenge right in front of us is negotiating the human singularity
