taxi, I agree with your post. I have no desire to invest money for other folks and constantly find myself having to refuse such offers. I have many very lucky over a number of years with my investments, but would probably fail miserably for someone else.

My idea would be a cooperative research group with each member of the group then using the information in his own interest as he interprets the meaning of it. Each member contributes effort in return for access to the total group information. No money changes hands except a small participation charge to fund the overhead structure. I guess the only difference from SI is that the disemmination of the information is limited to the participants and "noise" could be eliminated. The Babb Enterprises web server is somewhat like SI except closed to members only and could easily support such a group. Maybe an entry requirement could be a years worth of value contributions on SI threads as a ticket to get in.
