DD,
I may be wrong here, but my original reading of the in question post was that it was not saying any company in particular. It was a comment made in generalities. However Jas quickly asked why did he think NG had screwed up. NG was not the first! Everyone keeps forgetting the little remeadiation job that's been ongoing for over 15 months now NEVADA, weren't they the first? And if they were wouldn't the statement hold true? Come on people! As fast and surely as Z/M can convert code in a 15 month time span shouldn't they have been able to find, repair and test all code on the planet??? But in actuality they haven't even finished that little job yet! Gains on the shorts holdings have slowed now, many other stocks I watch, have had their indicators turn bullish again, I believe there are many real bargains out there that will offer higher rewards in the short term than Z/M. However one thing Z/M does have in its favor, due to lack of tangible evidence of execution of their business plan, this remains a story stock, in a highly visible arena! One that as a new year has dawned on us again pushing closer and closer to that artist formerly known as Prince singing that song "were going to party like its 1999" we will hear many more doomNgloom stories. Most if not all ultimately started by someone standing to make a profit in this mess, yet still possibly causing the ZIT to fester. I personally am somewhere in the middle of the current consensus, I believe there are many things that need to be addressed but none of them even if left untouched will cause the earth to stop rotating, planes to fall from the sky or Dick and Ed to show up on my door step with $11 million in hand! I think not all players are even on the field and fully dressed out yet! Keep an eye on some big named well known players yet to step up to Bat! (I have even heard ORCL's name being thrown around oracle.com does anyone know what the "Developer/2000 runtime" is??) Only ONE thing is for for sure! That is with each passing tick of the clock we get closer and closer to the "NEW MILLENNIUM" (Which by the way some say the world will end then even if the computers are just fine. ;)
Happy Trading
