Tom, I am not selling anything, just holding puts and gold mining shares at the moment.
The civility of this group makes me say without knowing you that you are not an idiot, I have seen too many of your well though out remarks. My point is that my 4 year old daughter could have put her finger on a stock in the newspaper and made a ton of money over the past 5 years. We've had a 15 year bull run and almost all "new" investors have never seen or experienced a true bear market. I haven't even traded through one in 12 years now.
I don't mean to be talking about you personally, I just hope that the many good people of America who have little children like I do don't put their futures in jepordy by getting killed with margin calls over the next few months. I don't guarantee anything, and I could be dead wrong, I don't get paid for my comments, I can only say that I have done extremely well financially in the markets as a "trader". If I was a good investor I would have kept my Microsoft, Intel and compaq that I owned in the early 80's and it would be worth hundreds of millions by now. I also owned a ton of another stock in the late 80's called Tech Data. I worked for the company at the time and owned about 25,000 shares at 4 bucks a share or so, today after splits the stock is at about 150. I sold at 8 bucks a share at the time and bought a real nice house but because of my trading mentality lost out on a great stock.
I will tell you that even with my trading mentality that I have managed to build up a 7 figure portfolio, (somehow). So I suppose on one hand I am stupid for not being worth hundreds of millions by now, but on the other hand, I assume that at the age of 35 that I have done quite well relative to the other 35 year olds in America and abroad. So again, what does all of this have to do with APCC??
I am taking a bet right now, the bet is that APCC like most of the other high flying stocks are going to stumble over the next few months and years. I want people out there to make up their own minds as well, don't believe everything I say, just filter what I say and what others say and make up your own mind. Then learn from the results and become wiser as time goes on, that in my opinion is how life works.
When I talk about APCC as possibly going down I am amazed at how many people come out of the woodwork defending their positions, that just proves to me how emotional many people are. The most ironic part is that for those of you who remember, when I was buying APCC at 10 bucks and below a couple of years ago, the story then was just the opposite. I was defending and talking this stock up and most of the world was talking about it being a dog and sueing the company. Now that the stock has gone from 7 7\8 to over 30 and now back to the mid 20's newer people are defending the stock once again, it all comes from one's perspective. Some people see a stock that was in the low 30's that has dropped quite a bit, I see a stock that I owned at 8 and now has gone up over 300 % in over a year and one half, looks like quite a pricey stock from the view over here in Georgia.
Nothing better to do on a Sunday morning,
