Dear anonymous fake news koan, As an engineer I learned how to measure all manner of stuff. I do not believe any Pew poll as how would a Pew pollster know who was and was not an Scientist. I know of no Republicans who say they do not believe in Evolution or in Global Warming. I know there is no scientific method proof that the last few decades of modest warming was caused at all by CO2 in the atmosphere. Now in that knowing what scientific method proof is a requirement for being consider a scientist. It would seem there is a consensus of 97% who are self identified as science morons. There is a possibility that some fraction of a degree was caused by secondary effects of CO2. The greening of millions of acres. All that extra greening stores solar energy and it is released through oxidation releasing the energy slowly. Now that greening will also reverse desertification and and areas with plant cover will not have the wild up and down daily variations of desert areas. CO2 is prolife.
