Hey, Lance! The specificity of antibodies is determined by two identical portions called Fab, the antigen binding sites. The third hunk of any given antibody is called the Fc portion, the business or effector portion of the molecule. It binds to serum factors or cells that do much of the immune system's heavy lifting.

And the Fc portion of antibodies is xncr's realm.... they manufacture antibodies that have extended serum half lives, enhanced effector function, etc.
