Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (CMTL) - dividend cut to $0.10/quarter from $0.30/quarter

Yield is 3.2% now based on a stock price of $12.75/share.

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Announces Results for First Quarter of Fiscal 2017 and Confirms Its Fiscal 2017 Guidance

Comtech Telecommunications (NASDAQ: CMTL): FQ1 EPS of -$0.11 may not be comparable to consensus of -$0.16. (beats by $0.05)

Revenue of $135.8M (+111.8% Y/Y) misses by $3.3M

Company is still working through it's acquisition. Their dividend cut was a bit more than I expected (looking for a 50% cut to yield 5%). One of the positive items is they pay taxes at a 32% rate and if/when the Trump tax rate is approved, that may/could go down to a 15% rate.

Still a small position and I like the sector. Will hold for now. Stock did rally into the close to $12.75/share on 1.86x ADV but I see an after hour trade of $11.80/share. International sales are expected to remain soft but they still have quite a big backlog of orders ($461mln) an expect a slight improvement in 2017 operating margins.
