I had the high honor of talking today to a nose gunner that flew 28 missions over Europe in WWII (only lasted a few minutes, but I could have easily listened for hours hearing about his experiences).....He was clear of mind, especially for his age.....and he talked of the -55 degree temps at the altitudes they flew and the parts they wanted to cut off him because of frostbite and where the flak was the worst.......the average lefty whiners of today can go straight to hell if they think they have anything comparable to bitch about.
