they could do that today with built in wifi. Just allow the user some smart connected apps to their car while parked in the garage, like storing and updating their music and contacts, and presto!!, they have a connection to do that built in using the car owners home network. Or do it while they park at Starbucs or any other free wifi. Allow partial downloads that complete when they get done, so 5 visits to starbucs equals one upgrade. Store it on the cars internal 80G hard drive (or SSD drive..)

lots of ways to do that TODAY. Trouble is that the security on the entire thing is HORRENDOUS. This is what stops them. having 50 levels of VPN and encryption so that their Jeep does not get hacked.
