time to move on for me too

I "upgraded" to Vista because the HP5850 I got off ebay for 50 bucks a few years back came with a valid COA lol...

as I can tell, there are still updates being released for Vista, but the process (library?) is now used for Win7 and up. The Vista updates are still available and being produced, but it's a monthly manual process to check for them and get them. Your "windows update" icon is worthless.

To complete the story, what go me going was my computer has slowed to a crawl. Task manager said a svchost was eating up 25% solid. Looked at the svchost process and found the windows update thingy wusa? was stuck. Killed windows update and everything returned to normal.

So I've set windows update to never check and keep on trucking.....
