What the medical is like

7 years ago my wife suffered congestive heart failure around 2 AM one morning. She awoke me saying she was short of breath. I called the Ambulance, It arrived in less than 10 minutes with paramedics. Took her to the hospital 14 miles away. I jumped in the car, called one of our children on the way as I drove to the hospital.
By the time I arrived they had her on an oxen machine. She stabilized. A cardiac nurse remained with her for the next 12 hours then she was moved to intensive care for 2 days. At such time was transferred to the Kelowna hospital for surgery Five stents were placed in heart veins then was transferred back to our local facilities cardiac ward. She remained there for another five days before coming home again. And has been doing well ever since. The financial $ cost to ourselves was 0.

Five years ago as of last June. I and my sister were both diagnosed with cancer My treatment by immune therapy was completed by December of the same year and as of June checkup 2016 I am still OK

My sister with Advanced Breast Cancer under went four years of treatment including Chemotherapy for six months Being hormone receptor-positive cancer, a new HER2-targeted therapy and hormonal therapy continued after chemotherapy ended. During her treatment period she was also fully supported by counseling as she was distressed by it all. The result was she has been declared now cancer free.

All costs for either of us was paid for by our medical absent of any surcharges. It cost us nothing but our medical premium which in BC is Compulsory.

As I can be a citizen of either country at will. I have compared the the US and Canadian programs for ourselves. I suppose I should not use the word compare, The Us would have to get a lot better in order to do so. The trouble is most Americans have been so filled with popaganda they don't realize how terrible their system is on the world stage.

If your situation in Canada is urgent you are forwarded to the front of the line. For those who visit a doctor for a hang nail. Are usually relegated to the back of the line.
