Job appeal based on sexual identity, a tough nut to crack. Indeed. But it is another potential option to deal with the even tougher nut of providing factory jobs for everyone. Somewhere recently I read a quote from an official in a rural area regarding jobs. She offered that the best business for such areas is the care of old folks. I think she's right. There's a demand and low-cost areas are the optimal place for such facilities. It would also increase the availability of medical care for the rest of the area population. Not likely that there would ever be pin-up calendars for those workers like there are for firemen, but it gets jobs to people who don't want to relocate. Do we want to thump our chests to visions of time gone by or do we want to solve a problem...
