Hi koan; Re: "And you even start out your post with this friendly gesture, hi koan and then launch right into accusing me of lying. ";

Hey, earth to koan; I start every single post on SI with a "Hi".

You're a serial liar. The person you lie to first is yourself. And you believe yourself because you're quite stupid.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The cure for people who believe in a lie is to be "red pilled". This is what you need. But you have a lot of friends who believe the same lies and those lies are very attractive so you will never climb out of your hole. Only the very smartest will get out of the trap you are in. The first thing you need to admit is that you can make mistakes but that is beyond your abilities.

Believing lies can be very painful. Fortunately for your spirits, most of your lies can never be disproved, or as time shows their hollowness, your mind protects your weak ego from the truth by arranging for you to forget that you used to believe something ridiculously stupid. You're exactly like those fanatics who believe in a preacher who predicts the end of the world and convinces the flock to sell all their belongings, etc. Then, when the world continues on its usual grind, does the flock see that they've been misled? Of course not, that would be too painful. Instead, they sign up for the next silly prediction. Humans are very good at avoiding having to admit their lies. Like I've said before, "academia means never having to admit you were wrong", LOL. The fact is that the better educated you are, the better you are at rationalizing the failure of your lies.

Some lies fall apart too quickly for your brain to protect you from the horror of having to face the undeniable fact that you totally believed in a complete lie. And that is the source of "cognitive dissonance", that uneasy feeling humans get when they realize that the world is not how they believed it was, that is, when they are forced to realize that they were wrong about something they really believed in.

Most recently, the lie you believed was that the polling showed that Hillary would easily be elected.

That hurt didn't it!
