LOL. I've been feeling okay lately about life so I might catch up on the last two episodes of The Affair to bring myself back down to Earth.

Recently I feel like I struck gold on three outstanding shows, all half hour comedies. None of them as they say are, "suitable for younger or more sensitive viewers." The first two are British shows available on Amazon Prime.

I can't say enough good things about Catastrophe. It's written by a British writer and an American comedian and they both star in it. Great chemistry.

Fleabag is dark with some hysterical breaks in the fourth wall. The star is also the writer and she is superb. The last episode (6) will leave your jaw hanging.

I just discovered the TBS series The Detour. The writing is so witty and fast paced it pays to watch it twice. It's written by two Canadian contributors to the Daily Show. It also has the rare commodity of great slapstick and physical humor. The parents and twins are great, especially the young boy. His youthful enthusiasm, facial expressions, and often misguided understanding of the world around him is so like my younger son that it's uncanny. Here's two clips of The Detour. BTW, they guy in the van is Judge Reinhold. The entire first episode is available on YouTube.
