Any thoughts about Medicare?

The website is excellent. medicare.gov
Often, local BCBS offices run seminars on the various plans. I personally like Plan F, High deductible. I'll roll the dice on not being hospitalized. Make sure to sign up for Part D for drug care. The penalty for not taking it is a "forever" penalty. Many people not taking any medication roll the dice here, and run the numbers of skipping part D for several years, and roll in penalty amount later. It can actually be cheaper paying the penalty, but do the math. There is a Part D area in the website, and you should run the numbers once a year after listing all your medications to see which plan is best. Expect to pay more than without Part D. Yes, you will be subsidizing others and some freeloaders.

My meds without part D= $60to 85/year. With Part D $18.40 a month (Humana-Walmart) =$220 +copay of $1 to $10 for the prescriptions.
