Rest assured, "dishonest scum" they may be, but they ain't stupid ...
They know EXACTLY what they are doing when they go about influencing public opinion by how they present "the news".
They know EXACTLY how to twist it, edit it, place undue emphasis where they require it, leave vital bits out (such as " ... until the Administration figure out what the hell is going on").
And they can do all of that because they sit in a very privileged position of having direct access to MILLIONS of ears and eyes out there, and where the opposite to that isn't, unfortunately, the case.
And in addition, unfortunately there are still large numbers of the general population that have never been "taught" about how the manipulative MSM actually operates and how they go about it and what are their tactics and modus operandi.
That's why I'm a proponent of having an alternative out there that can not only put the News out there like it actually is, BUT ALSO inform the general population about WHAT their opposition MSM is up to and expose them whenever necessary, and thereby EDUCATE the general population what to look out for, and why ....
I would say that this last election campaign has been a real eye-opener in terms of how biased and manipulative and sycophantic the MSM have been. As is often the case, in such matters, they have overplayed their hand. And in many instances it has been so obvious that one would have to be completely naive not to have seen it for what it actually was. |
