What we are now doing in the ME here is "dissecting a corpse." We have made mistakes for decades in the ME, mainly for not more openly backing Israel, IMO. The Bushes were Saudi buddies, holding hands with them on visits. Carter was an outright anti-Semite, Clinton hard to guess. Ike didn't like Jews, Truman's underlings undercut him. Israel damn near went under in 48 because of our embargo, Truman's recognition of them over Marshal's objections saved them. Nixon, for all of his anti-Semitic private conversations, saved Israel in 73 by forcing our Gov to resupply them.

I can understand some of the dislike of Israelis. The few I have dealt with here in this country have been very tough people. I think the Culture combined with the location tends to bend them that way. The Arab's know how to "nice" you if they are doing business with you. But when you look at Israel's success compared to the utter and continuing failure of the Arab culture to provide a decent environment I see nothing to do but to back Israel.

Obama, combined with his people, have done their best to destroy what was good in the ME the last eight years. Their blindness has helped lead a broken culture to disaster. We will never know what is in Obama's heart, his actions are those of a Muslim Socialist.

I see Syria ending up as another "Libya." I hope Trump is able to stop us from spending lives and money in the final debacle. I see no way out that is politically possible. Our left got us into it and now what to blame Trump for not being able to pull their chestnuts out of the fire.
