That is a silly statement. There's a thing called the scientific method. Scientists around the world apply that method and that is why they agree, because they all use the same system of checks on information, more or less. Religion/myths differ round the world as they a based on nothing verifiable. Science is about verification of experiments.

If you look at history, you can see that this started about 3000 years ago when the ancient Greeks discovered written language, science and logic. At that time, people believed all sorts of crazy stuff. It was healthy to bleed people, the aurora borealis were spirits, etc. The earth was flat.

As people started writing things down and reading books, science increased and life got better for people. After the Greeks were destroyed, we lost a lot of that and until about 1457 when Gutenberg invented movable type and people started writing down their ideas and people were reading those ideas.

Out of that came the age of Enlightenment which was nothing more than the application of science, reason and logic to every day life. And out of that came modern medicine that doubled our lifespan over 100 years, and gave us the modern society we are living in today.

We have never been so comfortable in all of human history as we are today. And all of that is due to science and the scientific method. If you throw that away, we go back to living like animals. The Lord of the flies.

And in the case of Global warming a great disaster is looming if we don't embrace that research.
