One thing I'll say about Pat Buchanan, he lays out the details of whatever topic he is commenting on in an easy-to-understand manner.

What he said is a useful thing to keep in mind: All have greater stakes in this civil war than do we, and have been willing to invest more time, blood and treasure.

We've got to stay out of Syria, it's such a black hole for us. Syria has always seemed to me to be the darkest of all the ME countries.
