short term quick short play may prove successful, however if "everyone is selling it.." then there will be a lot of buyers if the stock busts thru $7..
from a long term perspective.. the losses will be carried over into gainms in capital for the company, which does have a nice wholesale/retail generic pipeline..especially since the mom and pop drug stores are getting devoured by the genovese's and the cvs, walgreens, etc..
this pipeline generates money, and will generate further profits, as it appears that much of drmd's R&D is over, now waiting for approvals on 7-9 new products.. this is a potential fandger for the long term short.. as anytime an upgrade or buyout rumour could squeeze the stock..
for me.. i short a lot.. but i short what i believe is fundamentally unsound or broken..
why instock put this on a 100%+ gain thread when it is physically impossible to gain 100% is beyond me..even if you look at 100% portfolio short drmd.. i believe that many daytraders are short in the hi 5s and they will definitely give resistance.. albeit temporarily in the 5 5/8 range.. my speculation, neither long nor short drmd..
personally i would trather write the calls on the stock and gain that way..
then the potential for loss is less.
